• Where did it all start?

It all began at the age of five or so. My father put a four cylinder motor in front of me and I would disassemble and then reassemble it in our small garage in the city (Did it run afterwards? Yeah right!). Then my family moved to the country and I became interested in dirt bikes and quads. We rode them hard and didn't have the money to get them repaired, so we had to do it ourselves. We learned a little extra time in the garage fixing them right meant more time in the dirt! Fast forward to my late teen years when I attended a local trade school, studying auto repair. After graduating, I got a job at a major Ford dealership, where I worked for a few years until another job opened up at a Lincoln dealership closer to home. At the last dealership I worked at, I met an old-time hot rodder. He got me truly interested in customizing. I had always customized my own cars: engine swaps, bolt-ons, etc., but he taught me that it takes more than just a bunch of bolt on parts to make a true custom. After a few years working at the GM dealership and bartending at night to make a decent living, I was offered the job of a lifetime: to work in the construction field as a Boilermaker. This is where I learned the fabrication techniques that I use today. I learned to combine my passion for cars in general with my passion for fabrication and customizing. That's when Altered Image Customs was born. It started in a small one and half bay garage and is now becoming the area's leading custom shop!
  • What do we do?

At Altered Image Customs, we provide customizing services of all kinds, from simple truck and car accessories to full custom frame and suspension work. We work on all types of vehicles, from 4 x 4's to ground-scraping trucks to old-time hotrods and high tech Hondas. You name it, we do it.
  • Why choose Altered Image Customs?

The people who choose Altered Image Customs are more than just customers, they become friends. Why? Because they trust us to provide the best quality service and keep coming back for more. We treat every vehicle like it's our own and it won't leave the shop until we're happy and we're 100% sure you'll be happy too.

If you're not convinced, check out the our On-Going Projects section for examples of some of the work we have done. ("On-going" because a custom is never truly done.)
